Team discussing a system diagram on a large screen in an office in the evening

01 / Large organisations

Innovating in a large organisation without disrupting day-to-day operations.

A large organisation doesn't change all at once. There are systems that hundreds of people rely on every day, there are agreements on security and management, and every change affects several departments.

We build software that fits into that. Step by step, alongside what is already there, and together with the people who have to work with it.

02 / Familiar challenges

Many systems, many stakeholders and little room for error.

In a large organisation the technology is rarely the hardest part. The difficulty lies in everything around it: what is already running, who has a say in the decision, and what happens if something doesn't work for a day.

  • New software has to fit into an existing landscape.

ERP, HR system, CRM and a handful of in-house applications. A new solution that doesn't connect well to them only makes the whole more complicated.

  • Your IT department doesn't have the capacity for it.

Maintaining what is already running takes up most of the time. Innovation keeps slipping by a quarter, while the business is asking for it.

  • A good system that nobody uses delivers nothing.

Employees stick to their old way of working if a new system doesn't fit their practice. Adoption determines whether a project succeeds.

  • Security and compliance carry a lot of weight, and rightly so.

Privacy, access management, logging and your security department's requirements have to be right before anything goes live. Fixing it afterwards costs far more.

04 / Our approach

Small steps that each deliver something.

Large transformation programmes often get stuck on the same points. We prefer to work in steps you can oversee, test and adjust.

Where it often gets stuck

  • Wanting to replace everything at once
  • Months of specification before anyone sees anything
  • Only involving users at the acceptance test
  • Only sorting out security and management once the system is finished
  • Knowledge that stays with the supplier

How we approach it

  • Innovating step by step, alongside what is already running
  • Showing something working every few weeks
  • Letting users review and test from the start
  • Including privacy, access and management from the first sketch
  • Code, documentation and knowledge that remain yours

Innovation doesn't have to happen in one big step. A series of smaller improvements keeps the risk manageable, and every step shows whether you're heading in the right direction.

05 / Fitting in with your organisation

This is how we work with your IT department.

In a large organisation you don't just build software, you build it within existing agreements. That's why we arrange how we fit in beforehand, not once the first part is finished.

  1. Step 1

    Aligning with architecture and standards

We discuss with your IT department which systems exist, which standards apply and in which environment the software needs to run.

  2. Step 2

Agreeing on security and privacy in advance

We set out access management, logging, data storage and the data processing agreement before we build, together with your security officer or privacy team.

  3. Step 3

    Starting small with one department

We start with a clearly defined part and a group of users who think along. What works, we then roll out further.

  4. Step 4

Delivering so it can be handed over

Documentation, tests and knowledge transfer are part of the delivery. That way your own operations team can carry on with it, with or without us.

06 / Why TokoWorks?

A compact team with experience in complex platforms.

You don't need to hire a big agency to solve a complex problem well. You do need a team that knows how large organisations work.

  • Experience with business-critical software

We have worked on HR platforms, multilingual products, integrations and dashboards that organisations rely on every day.

  • You talk to the makers

No account manager between your question and the team. You discuss choices directly with the people who carry them out.

  • We fit in with what's there

We prefer to work with .NET, PostgreSQL and Vue, but we adapt to your stack, tooling and cloud environment.

  • You stay the owner

Code, data and documentation are yours. We agree on ownership and handover in advance.

07 / Good to know

Questions large organisations ask us.

About architecture, security, hosting and ownership. If your question isn't here, send us a message.

Can you fit in with our existing architecture and standards?

Yes. Before we build, we discuss with your IT department which systems, standards and tooling apply. We fit in with those, instead of building an island of our own.

How do you handle information security and privacy?

We include access management, logging and data storage from the start, and sign a data processing agreement where needed. We agree in advance with your security officer or privacy team which requirements apply to you.

Where does the software run?

We decide that together. In your own cloud environment, or hosted by us. We work with containers and Kubernetes, so the software can run on most platforms.

Can you take over software from another supplier?

That depends on the technology, the quality of the code and the documentation. We assess that first in a technical intake and tell you honestly whether further development is wise.

Who owns the code?

You do. We agree on intellectual property, source code and handover in advance. No knowledge stays stuck with us.

08 / Moving forward together

Which step does your organisation want to take first?

An integration that has been on the list for years, a process that still runs on spreadsheets, or a system you have doubts about. Tell us what's going on.

In a first conversation we look together at what a sensible, manageable first step is.
